60. Presiding over the Banhnofstrasse

The big one at the very end of Banhnofstrasse. Probably the one of the first things people notice when they arrive in Zurich by train.

Alfred Escher, Swiss railway magnate and one of the founders of Credit Suisse presides over the Banhnofstrasse, a street proud of being the most expensive square meter in the world. In from of him, down the road is Lake Zurich.  The photo was taken from Au Premier, a restaurant-cafe-bar on the first floor of the Hauptbahnhof, as impersonal as a hotel lobby can be.
