The one at the entry of the Vila Tobler, in Winkelwiese. It was built in 1853 by architect Gustav Wegnann, of Zurich main train station fame, as commisioned by the Tobler family. It was totally refurbished in Art Deco style around 1900, becoming one of its finest examples. It was sold around 1950, almost destroyed and finally was acquired by the Zurich Art Society – the same people who take care of the Kunsthaus [Fine Arts Museum]. After extensive works of restoration and renovation, its gardens were opened to the public again in 2000. It now serves as a venue for posh parties, concerts and conferences.
