Better known as the Kugelbrunnen [ball fountain], it is in the Zürichhorn. This park and recreational area on the East side of Lake Zurich is very popular and can get horribly busy in hot Summer days (and Sundays) like today. The Kugelbrunnen was originally created for the Phenomena Exhibition of 1984 and left here as a reminder. The 1000-Kg granite sphere can be moved with relative ease thanks to the flow of 5-L of water per second coming from underneath (if you must know, fluid dynamics explains it). In any case, it is always fun to play with it…
